Scope of works.
Duration 6 weeks | Value £50k | Logan Construction
Various alterations to existing drainage, installation of kerbs and installation of new drainage runs both internal and external of the UEL, Stratford campus building. Excavation and concrete of a large new RC Lift Pit and rebar fixing and concrete of a new RC slab on composite decking at Level 1 all inside the existing building.
All works were undertaken within a live university environment, requiring meticulous planning and phased execution to minimise disruption to students and staff. Internal works were carefully sequenced, with noise and vibration controls implemented during excavation and concrete activities. Temporary works, hoarding, and protection measures were employed throughout to safeguard existing structures and services. Close coordination with the university’s estates team ensured safe access routes were maintained at all times, and deliveries were scheduled during off-peak hours to manage site logistics efficiently.
