Scope of works.
Duration 24 weeks | Value £200k | Logan Construction
The scope of works on this space-restricted site included internal and external piling preparation, underpinning, and the installation of temporary propping and wall bracing prior to piling. Following piling completion, we carried out a carefully phased construction sequence to install internal and external pile caps and RHS sections to support existing walls and future steel columns. Precision was critical to avoid disturbing the existing brickwork, with each beam installed using dry packing and allowing for proper curing. We also carried out demolition of a large section of the existing building wall and installed temporary works to facilitate safe delivery of the scheme.
Further phases involved rerouting existing utilities, installing temporary earthwork support, and forming a new internal reinforced concrete slab using electric machinery within confined areas. Following this, services and drainage were reinstated, and external finishes including kerbs, edgings, and paving were restored. O’Connell Contracting ensured all works met environmental and safety regulations while maintaining the stability of the structure through careful sequencing and risk management.
